The Healing Cycle
The Healing Cycle is an annual bike ride for the palliative care unit at the Credit Valley Hospital. Riders can choose the distance they would like to ride from 10km to 160km.
The Gran Fondo (160km) is an epic ride meant for serious riders. Cycling past Cambridge, the total elevation over the 160km route is 714 metres, making it one of the toughest organized endurance rides in Southern Ontario. It's expected that riders who choose the Gran Fondo can cycle 25km/hour.
The Healing Cycle is a non-profit organization that raised funds for palliative care services that provide compassion and preserve dignity. The Foundation has raised $630,000 towards a $1 million commitment to the palliative care unit at the Credit Valley Hospital.
