We Ride This Bicycle Repair Clinic
Youth in the Malvern community operate a cycling repair clinic called, 'We Ride This'. The clinic began operating in May and will continue into October. During the month of June on the 19th and 26th the clinic will operate at 22 Forest Creek Pathway (near Morningside & Sewells) at the community space in between the Grace Hartmann and Wilcox Creek Co-ops. Youth have experience with cycling repair and will be assisted by a seasoned mechanic.
At the moment the clinic is not able to supply clients with any parts, and these must be purchased separately. Volunteers staffing the clinic can support clients with advice and other repair services. The clinic operates under the model that interested persons will shadow volunteers so that they are also learning how to repair their own bikes. This is not a drop-off service. All services are free as well for community members.
